Aly Tu

Aly Tu (she/her/hers) is a theatre artist with experiences in acting, stage managing, and some in sound, props, and projections design. She is most interested in being a well-rounded artist, collaborator, and human.

Aly's love for theatre grew at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland where she achieved her Theatre Arts A.A. While obtaining the degree, she also earned an apprenticeship with the on-campus regional equity theater, Rep Stage, as their Theatre Production Apprentice/Assistant Stage Manager for the 2019-2020 season. She began  her Equity Member Candidacy with Rep Stage. Although she did not get to transition out with the season's last production due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she spent the remainder of 2020 creating a digital guide for Rep Stage's incoming artists, designers, crew members, and apprentices.

Aly is a Summa cum laude 2022 graduate of Albright College with a Theatre B.A. She participated in 8 productions and 3 organizations during her time there while serving as the Production Manager (Vice President) for the Domino Players Theatre Company, a student-run theatre troupe on campus. She is currently auditioning and working in an administrative theatre position at HCC. She aims to obtain a Theatre M.A. in the next couple of years.

Outside of productions, Aly enjoys going for runs, playing volleyball, doing Sudoku, listening to music, crocheting, meeting new people, and watching Studio Ghibli films.
